Chris Gimpel is a member of the HIQA coaching team, works with Danni in the Sober & Transformation Group Challenges, and is a regular contributor to the HIQA podcast.

He is an alcohol behaviour change educator and an experienced SMART Recovery facilitator. He draws on behaviour change, neuroscience and his own experience of changing his relationship with alcohol.

He meets people with empathy and respect rather than a label that doesn't fit, and is currently completing a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD).

He has supported hundreds of people through change.

Initial coaching call

This first session is designed to meet you exactly where you are on your journey with alcohol. Together we’ll explore what’s bringing you here, the role alcohol plays in your life, and what matters most to you moving forward.

Rather than a set program, this session is collaborative and tailored to your needs. You’ll leave with greater clarity, a sense of safety, and one or two simple practices or insights to support you between sessions.

Follow-up for existing clients

If we've had a chat already and you want to check back in, book a follow-up. I'll get some updates on where you're at, and if you're feeling a bit wobbly, we'll get you back on track.

Cancellation policy

Life happens and we often need to reschedule. Rescheduling is totally fine if you can give at least 24 hours notice, so I can fill your spot with someone on the waiting list. We can not provide a refund if you don't give enough notice, or if you don't join your scheduled call. Please note, I will wait 10 minutes in the call anything beyond that without notice is considered a no show and you will not be reimbursed for your call.  You will need to book another appointment via the website.

Sick of feeling controlled by alcohol?

I've been there, and I think the best support is knowing you're not alone. On my podcast we talk to ex-binge drinkers, alcoholics, drug and alcohol counsellors and more about how they quit alcohol.
